West Point

Plebe Parent Weekend

In October we went up to visit Adam at West Point. We had a wonderful visit. On Saturday October 15 we went to the Plebe Parent dinner and Hop. The mess hall was beautifully set up and dinner was delicious. The next day we drove to New York City and saw the sites from our car. The picture above is before the Dinner/Hop.

Class of 2006

Liz is fine and completed her first year at MVCC. She is involve with many activities at school. On July 28 Phi Theta Kappa is hosting a 5k run walk. She is the VP of Leadership for this organization. Currently she is taking one summer class and working at the local park district as a camp a councilor.

Whats New with the Werner’s

Here is an update on our family.

Adam is currently at West Point in his final weeks of CFT. He just finished up a week at Ft. Knox tank training. In the beginning of the summer he completed Air Assault School. He should be home sometime in August for a visit home.

Graduating from Shepard High School

May 5^th Liz enjoyed Prom she looked so beautiful. On May 25^th Liz graduated from Shepard High School. It was a beautiful day.

Liz graduated with Honors and Tri-M Honors

Her graduation party was wonderful day. we enjoyed having all the family and had some good times. Two day before Liq graduated, Adam came home for the summer on medical leave. He is doing fine, and his rehab is going well. I am off for the summer. Enjoy the time off by getting my garden planted and hoping it will be finished soon.

Adam is back at the Point and his classes will begin soon. I will be back to work and Liz will be going back to school as well. Kevin is a “runnin fool.” He started running about two month ago. He is up to running 30 minutes and graduated from the first running group. Adam, Liz and I are so proud.

We had a great New Years Eve with our family. Most of the family came over to celebrate the new years. A special thanks to my brother-in-law who made a CD for the family to view the entire special events, we have celebrated in 2005.

Christmas weekend was great. On Christmas Eve I gave a special hug to my grandmother from WV family member. Mom decorated the house with Christmas decoration; she collected things over the years among the special item we given her. She received a tree from her mom, which she place in her family room. There was a lot of food left over, but leftover are always good. On Christmas day, our celebration was at Werner Farm; the host family did a wonderfully. Dinner was delicious and the game was small but fun. After the game the men watched the CHICAGO BEARS game and the BEARS won the game.
